***  In order for visitors to complete their passports, the 7 participating sugar camps will be stamping passports for the first and last time at the 2024 Highland County Maple Festival.  During the festival, Bruce’s Syrup & Candies will be located at 68 West Main Street in downtown Monterey for stamping of passports.  Get your passport before December 31, 2023 for your chance to get your passport completed by March 31, 2024!

Pick up your passport at Virginia Welcome Centers, visitor centers and businesses across Virginia ,or at a local sugar camp by December 31, 2023. 

Contact a maple producer to schedule your tour – each sugar camp has its own hours and touring times.  Participants in the Trail are responsible for reaching out to schedule tours with each camp in advance.    

Visit a sugar camp to tour their operation, learn about their unique process, and taste some of their delicious pure maple syrup

Once tour is over, get a custom stamp on your passport

Collect all 7 stamps to get your free Highland County Virginia Maple Syrup Trail gift by March 31, 2024, which includes a t-shirt and bumper sticker!

You don’t have to visit all sugar camps in one trip – take your time and enjoy the experience no matter the season!
